Ready Together is a new, free toolkit from the National Emergencies Trust, launched on 6th October 2026. It is designed to help communities prepare for, respond to and recover from emergencies together. It offers simple, practical activities to help local groups make the most of the people, places, skills and resources they already have. There are lots of ways to get involved:
Pick up the toolkit and start the conversation. Explore the toolkit and talk with neighbours, friends or local groups about how your community could be better prepared.
Encourage local groups to use it. Whether you are part of a community group, sports club, faith organisation or neighbourhood network, choose a section of the toolkit that works for you and give it a go.
Share great examples. Know a community doing something brilliant or innovative? Share it with the National Emergencies Trust so others can learn from it.
Bring people together. If you can convene a local or regional roundtable, the National Emergencies Trust would be delighted to provide a briefing on the toolkit.
